These char ropes are made of ¼ inch, 100% solid braid cotton. They are tightly braided and won’t unravel. They can be cut into any length that you need to quickly start a very hot ember to start your fire. Char rope or char cord ember burns hotter and lasts longer than charcloth.

Each char rope is approximately 20 in. long after charring for a total length of about 5 ft.
