Gransfors Bruk Ceramic Grinding Stone

The Gränsfors Bruk Ceramic Grinding Stone is the perfect tool for repairing everyday wear and tear to the cutting edge of your axe or knife. It comprises of a hockey puck-shaped stone with two separate sharpening surfaces; a coarse side (180 grit) for repairing heavy wear, and a fine side (600 grit) for regular sharpening.

With its dual-grain sharpening surfaces, this is the only axe stone you’ll need when in the field. The Gränsfors ceramic grinding stone is composed of ceramic abrasives whose grain structure is designed to best meet the need of both coarse and fine grinding. Unlike natural stone, a ceramic grindstone is obtained with a more precise grain size. The ceramic composite of this stone provides strength and durability, while the beveled edge helps to prevent chipping. Two thirds of the stone’s thickness comprises of the finer 600 grit side as this is usually the surface that is used and thus worn down most. The stone comes in a protective rubber case which helps to keep the stone in place while in use.
