The Gränsfors Bruks American Felling Axe is a first-class full size axe.  It’s based on a classic Colonial American pattern with a 31 inch straight handle which, as a consequence, makes an easy “slide” of the hand along the length of the handle when chopping. This axe is a BEAST with a massive head that weighs 3 lbs. and a 4½ inch cutting edge. With a total weight of 4.6 lbs. it weighs almost twice as heavy as the Scandinavian Forest Axe. It’ll cut just about any tree out there! It is ideal for felling very large trees and sectioning logs.
